Previous Mr. Mercedes: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times The players keep warm what could be a chilly exercise. Aug 10, 2017 Full Review Mr. Mercedes: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Alan Sepinwall Uproxx David E. Kelley definitely still has it, but working with some constraints - adapting a novel and/or working with a forceful director like Bender or Jean-Marc Valle - makes it easier for him to remind us of that fact. Aug 10, 2017 Full Review Mr. Mercedes: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Dan Fienberg Hollywood Reporter Mr. Mercedes is a fine example of something that has been less frequent over the years -- an effective Stephen King adaptation carried by strong performances and smart writing choices. Aug 10, 2017 Full Review Mr. Mercedes: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Cynthia Vinney CBR Mr. Mercedes never feels as compelling as a thriller should, especially given how much it has going for it. Although it's punctuated by bursts of gory violence, it often feels overly restrained and controlled. Oct 28, 2020 Full Review Mr. Mercedes: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Alan French AwardsCircuit.com The performances are strong throughout the show and writing is solid as well. Unfortunately, even the well-written dialogue is held back. 3/4 Oct 10, 2018 Full Review Mr. Mercedes: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) John Boland Irish Independent The genius of this series was that all of the characters, even the most minor, were so quirky and so well cast that they seemed to have lives that extended beyond their presence on screen. Previous Craig B Fantastic series based on the Stephen King novel. Atmospheric, creepy, masterful storytelling with an outstanding cast. Not to be missed by thriller / horror fans even if you aren't a fan of Stephen King. Rated 4.5/5 Stars Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/23 Full Review Jerry S Interesting series that reminds me a bit of Bates Motel and Dexter. The first season has a really bad ending though! Rated 3.5/5 Stars Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/22 Full Review martin a An outstanding 1st series, the cast is wonderful, and the story is excellent. Rated 5/5 Stars Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I wanted to like this show... I found the storyline pretty interesting, but damn if someone isn't eating or drinking in at least 80% of the scenes in the first episode. I can't stand the sound of people eating (or talking with their mouths full) and I couldn't get past it. I don't know why they had to have people chowing down or gulping drinks and audibly swallowing so frequently. So, if you have misophonia or just don't enjoy those noises, this show may not be for you. Womp womp. Rated 3/5 Stars Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Season 1 is not a thriller. Much more of a drama. It seems to go out of its way to be dull even while being exciting. Rated 2.5/5 Stars Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Actually I loved this show, it reminded me of the Sinner, my another favorite TV series about weird detective looking for murderers. Great cast, great story - looking forward to the 2nd season. Rated 5/5 Stars Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Next Post a review
